No matter if you're into fashion, architecture or general aesthetics, Rodeo Drive in LA won't leave you indifferent.
Beverly Hills hosts the holy place of haute couture boutiques, Rodeo Drive. The current high-level shopping district was developed in the 1970's and there you can find a paradise of well-known high-end brands such as Giorgio Armani, Bulgari, Chanel, Dior, Ermenegildo Zegna, Etro, Fendi, Gucci, Hermès, Prada, Tiffany & Co., Valentino and so many others.
First things first: there's no need to explain you that Beverlly Hills is a very expensive place with some of the most expensive villas around the globe. Thus, you can expect that the items you can buy in Rodeo Drive are generally more expensive than those same items in any other shops where these brands sell. However, the satisfaction that provides you is simply incomparable. Not to mention the great anecdote that becomes telling your friends that you bought "this precious item" in Rodeo Drive.
No matter if you're planning on spending a lot of money or to simply window shop; the experience of being at Rodeo Drive will simply be memorable. Why? because you'll find yourself embellished with the aesthetics of the shops and the street combined with the sun - or its lights - that brightens the whole neighborhood together with the palm trees that surrounds you with an atmosphere of peace. The visuals are so important here, that there's even a Louis Vuitton museum that you can visit for free to get more acquainted with the modern arts of fashion.
I could perhaps only think of another place in the world where you can live a similar experience: the Avenue Montaigne in Paris where you can also find les maisons de la mode. However, if I may say, in Paris you get a more classy experience whereas, walking around Rodeo Drive, will make you feel like one of the main characters of "Sex and the city" when they buy a pair of their Manolo's.
Nonetheless, you shouldn't let this deceive you. Rodeo Drive is not only a female experience. Men have the best gentlemen boutiques to find the most elegant outfits as well. A perfect example for this is the house of Bijan. It opened on Rodeo Drive in 1979 and ever since then male celebrities of Hollywood have been going there to find the best outfits of all times.
In a nutshell, there is a before and an after visiting Rodeo Drive in the way it makes you feel. So, if you are planning on going to LA and you want a memorable experience or want to take beautiful pictures, I have no doubts that visiting Rodeo Drive won't let you down.
